Characteristics of the educational program:
Gaining profound theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the fields of systems analysis, knowledge and data engineering as well as decision making systems and methods which will let the students effectively fulfill innovative tasks on the corresponding levels of professional activity focused on the research into and the solution of complex problems concerning information systems development and engineering in order to meet the needs of science, business and enterprises in various branches.
Gained competence:
- methodology of systematic structural and object-oriented analysis of complex objects and systems;
- methods and methodology of databases and data warehouses design and usage;
- methodology of development and application of information computer systems and technologies of analytical and management nature, focused on forming and decision-making, and also instrumental tools for creating and maintaining such systems;
- methods of modeling, analysis, and synthesis of artificial intelligence systems;
- methods of construction of mathematical models of artificial intelligence systems;
- principles of developing of mathematical models, methods, computer technologies and intelligent decision support systems in scientific researches, project-designing activity,technological, economic, social objects management, and in the humanitarian field of human activity;
- constructions principles and operation features of modern computing systems, information and computer networks.
- development and software implementation of intelligent decision support systems in different subject areas;
- database and data warehousing design for intelligent decision-making systems;
- creation of Internet-applications and distributed intelligent information systems;
- development of intelligent information retrieval and expert systems with natural language interfaces;
- software development for computer modeling and computer graphics in the intelligent decision-making systems.
- ability to use professional and specialized knowledge and practical skills to optimize information systems design of any complexity;
- ability to use professional and specialized knowledge and practical skills to solve specific problems of intelligent information systems design of different physical nature objects managament;
- ability to analyze and assess the range of tasks that will promote development of effective use of decision making support systems information resources;
- ability to assess existing technologies, to form the requirements for the advanced information technologies development on the basis of analysis.
