Characteristics of the educational program:
The program is based on known and special knowledge, advanced research results in the fields of information technology, computer science, computer engineering, automation and computer-integrated technologies and programming and focuses on the actual specialization, within which possible further professional and scientific career-system engineering. The program is focused on the development of the Internet of things devices, the devices’ equipment with embedded computers and sensors, control systems, technology processes execution nodes, processing information coming from the environment, its exchange, accumulation, and analysis to implement systems "smart city" and "smart home ." This guarantees a broad knowledge and skills in information technology and provides students with the opportunity to choose to continue their education at the graduate level in the universities accross the world where similar training programs are implemented.
Gained competence:
- knowledge and understanding of scientific and mathematical principles underlying the Internet of things devices;
- knowledge of professional-oriented disciplines of the specialty in computer science;
- advanced knowledge in the area of system engineering information technology;
- knowledge and skills to conduct experimental research, processing and presentation of experimental results;
- knowledge and understanding of design methodology and design of control units moving objects / things Internet, the relevant regulations applicable standards and specifications;
- knowledge of occupational safety, industrial hygiene and fire safety when working with the equipment and process equipment;
- knowledge and understanding of the impact of engineering solutions in the social, economic-Term, social and environmental context;
- knowledge of economics and project management.
- application of knowledge and understandings to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems specialties using known methods;
- application of knowledge and understandings of problems for analysis and synthesis of specialization "Systems Engineering (Internet of Things)";
- the application of systems thinking and creativity to the formation of innovative ideas;
- the use of knowledge bases of technological processes, technical characteristics, structural features, purpose and rules of operation of equipment to solve engineering problems specialty;
- the ability to calculate, design, design, explore, exploit, repair, customize equipment and control devices moving objects and the Internet of things.
