Characteristics of the educational program:
Students get a necessary knowledge and practical skills in the following areas: monetary system, financial activity of enterprises and organizations, taxation of enterprises, activity of organizations on the financial market, organization of banking, banking operations, banks exchange transactions, currency regulations, tax operations, organization of the tax service monitoring, insurance services, accounting and analysis of insurance organizations, financial management, marketing of financial and credit sector, organization and improvement of bank information systems, financial institutions, tax and custom services.
Gained competence:
- modern understanding of principles, methods and forms of managment, formation, distribution and usage of financial resources and cash flow optimization;
- modern understanding of methods and tools of financial management assets, capital, investments, financial results, financial risks; methods of financial analysising, planning, forecasting and financial crisis managing;
- modern understanding of methods and types of budget financing; methods of planning;budget incomes and expenditures; cash execution of the state and local budgets; organizational basis of tax management, tax administration;
- modern understanding of insurance activities, insurance rate structure, the procedure of forming and placing insurance reserves, valuation methods of insurance company solvency and conditions of insurers financial stability;
- modern understanding of the financial services market structure, the variety of derivative financial instruments, direct and indirect market participants functions, the classification of financial services, currency payments and hedging mechanism;
- modern understanding of financial planning sales revenue and non-operating income, products pricing (works, services); distribution and use of enterprises profits;
- modern understanding of organizing exchange, depository, settlement and clearing activities;
- modern understanding of transactions in the stock market, investment in securities, trust, leasing, factoring and financial transactions with the mortgage;
- skills in solving financial problems using IT tools;
- skills in using typical data processing software in research and financial activities (statistical processing of numerical data, forming graphs, perfoming interpolation and approximation, tabular operations etc.);
- skills in analyzing the financial relations in enterprises, organizations, institutions;
- skills of teamwork in programmes and projects for research into financial relations and application of research methods to financial problems;
- time management skills, including adherence to deadlines;
- ability to make accounting and operational reports, calculate index of economic and financial activities of enterprises, organizations and institutions;
- ability to prepare and conclude an insurance treaty from the main types of personal insurance, property insurance and insurance of responsibility;
- ability to control the rational formation and use of centralized and decentralized funds;
- ability to take into account direct and indirect environmental factors on the industrial and business activities of enterprises (institutions, organizations);
- ability to use professionally profiled knowledge and practical skills to determine the strategic direction of the enterprise; to select methods and tools of operational financial controlling in order to improve profitability, financial and economic stability and the market value of the enterprise;
- ability to use professionally profiled knowledge in the field of mathematical statistics for statistical data processing and mathematical modeling of financial and economic processes;
- ability to use professionally profiled knowledge and practical experience in public finance, finance of entities, international finance and financial markets to make optimal management decisions in finance and crediting;
- ability to define the object and subject, to set the tasks for research; to draw conclusions and generalizations based on the research results;
- ability to present the results of one’s own work, scientific and practical materials;
- ability to self-learning and continuing of professional development;
- communication skills, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and at least in one of European languages;
- skills to cooperate with others, ability to work in groups, to manage conflict and stress.

Occupational profiles of graduates: Objects for the activity of a Bachelor in Finance, Banking and Insurance are specific means and tools of financial, industrial and economic activities of enterprises, institutions, organizations; making estimates of income and expenditures of budgetary institutions, their implementation and control, etc. Professional profile: Financial economist Performs drafting financial support for innovation, investment and production programs, business plans of an enterprise; preparing financial and banking documents on payments and liabilities of enterprises and natural persons; controlling and analyzing financial activities of business’ departments; accounting performance of contracts on products (works, services) realization, programs on generation of profit and financial liabilities of an enterprise; drawing up finance reports; training professionals, etc. Professional profile: Insurance agent Performs agent activity of both juridical persons and citizens authorized to act on behalf of and on the basis of instructions from one or more insurancers concerning advertising, consulting, offering insurance services and conducting work related to concluding and executing insurance agreements: receiving insurance payments, performing paperwork for timely payment of insurance sums or compensation, and implementation of these payments, inter alia. Professional profile: Tax inspector Controls compliance with the tax legislation, budgetary revenue from taxes and other payments, checks financial documents of tax payers: tax statements, account books, reports, estimates, etc.; conducts remote and on-site tax audits, analyses obtained results, applies financial sanctions against violators; directs requirements on tax payments and fees to organizations, entrepreneurs and citizens; analyses the level and dynamics of incoming taxes, fees and debts, and deficiency caused by them
