• optimization of technical and economic parameters of design options for constructing (modernization) systems, networks, structures and telecommunication facilities;
• identifying failours and eliminating severe technical breakdowns and malfunctionings in telecommunication systems and networks equipment and machinery operation;
• solving optimization problems and efficient utilizing of information processing, transmission, storage and display means in telecommunication networks;
• calculation and structural design of telecommunication networks architecture and devices, development of project-design documents. • ability to formulate the requirements for regulations, technological modes and safety conditions of operation, maintenance and testing telecommunication systems equipment ;
• ability to apply specialized knowledge and practical skills to solve problems of telecommunication networks design and improvement;
• ability to predict tendencies for technological changes and parameter alterations in information networks and their components;
• ability to develop programmes of research, analysis, evaluation,prognozing and progress in their professional activity and to evaluate advantages of innovative implementations;
• ability to assess resistance of information communication networks structural elements in emergency situations.
