Very interesting, informative and interactive was the meeting of the staff of the Department of Psychology, Pedagogics and Social Management of the Institute of Jurisprudence and Psychology and the students with Charles F. Misja, Ph.D, a practicing psychologist and Executive Director at the North Coast Family Foundation, OH (USA), who is working with people with post-traumatic stress disorder.
The lecturer spoke how to work with people who witnessed or participated in military actions or domestic violence and suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, and how to teach them not to feel secure, but to be safe. Professor Charles F. Misja emphasized on the peculiarities of working with war veterans and military actions participants who need rehabilitation and self-regulation. The questions-answers and the elements of the training were informative and useful for the participants.
