Within the framework of the Strategic Development Plan of Lviv Polytechnic National University until 2025, the international accreditation of educational programs plays an important role. The Director of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, Professor Oleh Kuzmin told us about the achievements of the Institute of Economics and Management.
At the beginning of 2019, at the initiative of Yurii Bobalo, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, Vice Rector Nataliia Chukhrai, Oleh Kuzmin and Ihor Oleksiv, Professors of the Department of Management and International Business, the University began international accreditation of IEM according to the standards of Business Graduates Association (BGA, London) which is a partner of the world-renowned accreditation association to schools of business AMBA (Association of MBA’s), London. As you know, AMBA is among the top three leaders in this segment (Triple Crown), together with AACSB International (USA) and EQUIS (EU). The first meeting in this direction took place in the London office of AMBA. Vice-Rector Nataliia Chukhrai and Professor Ihor Oleksiv attended the event.
Olha Pyroh, Head of the Department of Management and International Business, led the project team, which prepared and submitted the necessary application for membership. Thus, in November 2019, BGA granted the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic, the Bronze Membership Status.
Before awarding this status, BGA carried out thorough inspection of Lviv Polytechnic and IEM for compliance with 9 key principles of the BGA Charter.
Having obtained the Bronze Membership Status, our Institute already uses a hub with a training resource in the field of business education, video and e-learning materials, analytical reviews and reports for business schools, LinkedIn-groups for international cooperation, mentorship from leading international business experts, as well as participates in webinars, workshops and master classes by leading international experts, etc.
The Strategic Development Plan of Lviv Polytechnic National University until 2025 provides for full international accreditation of the Institute of Economics and Management, which the Institute continues to work on.
