A meeting with Vira Vovk, a prominent Ukrainian writer from Brazil, and a presentation of her collection «Three Poems» will be held on May 7, 2017, in the Religion History Museum (1 Muzeyna str.). The event has been organized by the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations of Lviv Polytechnic National University. Beginning – 4 pm.
«Sparkling Land» is the title of one of the three poems, which will be presented by IIEC. Others are entitled «The Sin of Holiness» and «Swallow Feather». The collection «Three Poems» is dedicated to the author’s closest friends – Zoya Lisovska, a Ukrainian painter from Switzerland, and Tereziya de Oleveira, a musician from Brazil.
This is not only a conversation about poetry. This is a reflection on the epoch, on the family, on the native land, with the feeling of which Vira Vovk lives and creates.
Tadei Karabowicz, a Ukrainian writer and translator, professor of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, will take part in the meeting.
Poems by Vira Vovk will be recited and classical music will be played by the orchestras of the Prosvita People’s House of Lviv Polytechnic.
