On November 22, 2017 the German-Ukrainian Round Table «No Limits» Partnership Network: Research & Practice Platform» was held at Lviv Polytechnic National University, as sponsored by the Federal Foreign Office, Germany.
The participants of the Round Table discussed the perspectives of further development of «No Limits» partnership network, including the issues of adapting academic buildings to the needs of the disabled.
In the German-Ukrainian Round Table participated:
- the delegation of Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg – Dr. Olaf Hoos, Director, Contact and Information Service Center for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses, Dr. Matthias Zimlich, instructor, Sports Center of the University of Würzburg; Enrico Göbel, teacher, School for visually impaired children; and Susanne Holzheimer, officer, International Office of the University of Würzburg;
- the representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University – Dr. Roman Korzh, Vice-rector for Scientific Research and Education; Dr. Yaryna Tyrchun, Director, Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences; Dr. Larysa Klymanska, Head, Department of Sociology and Social Work, Dr. Andriy Peleshchyshyn, Head, Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, Dr. Nina Hayduk, Director, International «Integration» Centre for Professional Partnerships, the faculty and students of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, and the personnel of the International «Integration» Centre for Professional Partnerships;
- the representatives of «No Limits» partnership network – Mr. Myroslav Nikolayev, Director, Regional Centre «Invasport»; Ms. Oleksandra Khudoba, Director, Lviv Institute of the Development and Enhancement of Research; and Ms. Iryna Kostrobiy, teacher, Lviv Special Boarding School #100 for the blind and visually impaired.
The participants of the German-Ukrainian Round Table reached an agreement to establish «No Limits» Research Platform to provide research grounds in organizing professional activities, including students’ practical training in the sphere of social inclusion at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
For this purpose the site of the International «Integration» Centre for Professional Partnerships was recommended to be used.
