Specific admission requirements: Entrance examinations in specialty and foreign language.
Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning: If the previous level was obtained in another country, the nostrification carried out by Lviv Polytechnic is needed. The recognition of non-formal and informal education is not implemented.
Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements: Individual curriculum completion and defense of the Dissertation.
Characteristics of the educational program:
Ability to solve complex problems in the field of information technology, software engineering, to carry out research and innovation activity, which involves deep rethinking of existing and creation of new holistic knowledge, as well as practical implementation of the obtained results.
Gained competence:
1. Ability to apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to solve the problems of synthesis and analysis of elements and systems specific to the chosen field of research.
2. Ability to integrate and apply the acquired knowledge from different interdisciplinary areas in the process of creating software systems to solve complex scientific and technical problems.
3. Ability to analyze and select relevant models for the design and implementation of intelligent systems for various purposes.
4. Ability to carry out scientific researches and carry out scientific projects on the basis of identification of actual scientific problems, definition of goals and tasks, formation and critical analysis of information base, substantiation and commercialization of research results, formulation of author's conclusions and proposals.
5. Ability to perform mathematical modeling and optimization of software engineering processes.

1. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of conceptual methodological and technological foundations of developing high-quality software systems.
2. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of management theory methods and making optimal decisions about software engineering processes.
3. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the theoretical and applied principles of Big Data analysis.
4. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling and systems analysis of various subject areas.
5. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of philosophical methodology of scientific knowledge, psychological and pedagogical aspects of professional and scientific activity, personal scientific outlook and moral and cultural values.
6. Ability to demonstrate enough knowledge of English required for the oral and written presentation of the results of scientific research, conducting a professional scientific dialogue, a complete understanding of scientific texts written in English.
7. Ability to adapt to new conditions, make decisions independently and initiate original research and innovative complex projects.
8. Ability to independently carry out research and formulate conclusions, suggestions and recommendations.
9. The ability to be aware of and bear personal responsibility for the results of the study.
Ability to perform a scientific conversation and discussion in Ukrainian and English at the appropriate professional level, present the results of scientific research in oral and written form, organize and conduct training sessions.

Academic mobility: Based on bilateral agreements between Lviv Polytechnic National University and the Technical Universities of Ukraine. On the basis of bilateral agreements between Lviv Polytechnic National University and partner-countries institutions.

It is aimed at the development of theoretical and methodological, methodological and applied basis for creating software systems with accentuation of the latest trends in the industry.
