Specific admission requirements: The program determines the amount of material that must be possessed by the entrant who enters the training in the educational-scientific program of preparation of the Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty "Architecture and urban planning". The program is based on the following basic disciplines that form the specialist in architecture and urban planning: "History of architecture", "Architectural traditions of Ukraine", "History of modern architecture", "Typology of residential buildings and structures", "Typology of public buildings and structures", " Design of architectural environment of public buildings and constructions, Energy-Saving Architecture, Fundamentals of Urban Planning, Modern Concepts in Urban Planning, Reconstruction and Restoration of Architectural Objects, Protection of Architectural and Art Monuments a "," Renovation of the house. "

Characteristics of the educational program:
The educational and scientific program is based on the fundamental tenets of architecture and the results of modern scientific research in the field of innovative development of the theory and practice of architecture and urban planning. It is aimed at the development of theoretical and methodological and methodological-applied base in the field of architecture with accentuation of the latest tendencies of development of architecture and urban planning, which deepens the professional scientific outlook and provides the basis for independent scientific research and further scientific and scientific-pedagogical activity.
Gained competence:
1. In-depth knowledge of the historical foundations of the development of the theory of architecture and urban planning. Knowledge of current trends and the most important new scientific advances in architecture and urban planning.
2. In-depth knowledge of classical and modern scientific tools for the study of historical, cultural, socio-economic, architectural and artistic phenomena and processes in various fields of architecture and urban planning.
3. In-depth knowledge of theoretical and applied foundations of different types and spheres of architecture and urban planning.
4. Ability to develop logical and valid sequences, systems, mechanisms, models, etc. for specific architectural and urban development objects.
- The ability to develop and implement architectural and urban planning projects, including their own research, which enables them to rethink existing or create new knowledge.
- Ability to identify and understand cause and effect relationships between historical and cultural phenomena and processes in the field of architecture, to identify and evaluate factors of influence.
Ability to produce innovative scientific ideas, master the methodology of scientific and pedagogical activity, solve complex problems in the process of innovation research and professional activity, carry out original scientific research in the field of architecture and urban development at the international and national level.
