- graduate pocsesses general culture, and is acquainted with main positions of humanitarian and social-economic sciences; he/she knows ethical and legal norms of professional activity and is able to analyze social problems;
- graduate possesses modern scientific methods of investigating for professional tasks solution, methods of searching and generalization information, he/she has skills of oral, written and visual representation of results and is able to input and process textual, graphic and multimedia information;
- graduate acquires experience of job and professional communication in the Internet, is able to use modern computer technologies for self-development;
- graduate knows history of development of World and Ukrainian Art and Design, main principles of composition and shape-forming theory, geometric simulation and shape-forming of artifacts, concepts and methods of using lighting, colour, texture and facture in design, criteria of aesthetic expressiveness of images, application of means of drawing, painting and sculpture in design;
- graduate possesses professional terminology, knows classification of design objects, main principles of objects design, elements of visual communication, object groups, objective-spatial systems, norms and principles of zoning, planning, development of volume-spatial structure, constructive scheme and artistic image, principles of signage systems in graphic design;
- graduate possesses modern knowledge in the field of computer simulation of design objects, tools of engineering and computer graphics, text composition and photo materials processing;
- graduate has basic notion about concepts and rules of normative and technical base of design, rules of project documentation composing.
- graduate is able to assess his/her own gains and disadvantages, is ready to increase his/her level of professional competence, is able to accommodate to changing conditions, can think and act, initiate innovative solutions in designing process;
- graduate is able to apply professional knowledge and practical skills from fundamental disciplines in the process of design;
- graduate receives experience of working with specialized drawing and graphic devices, artistic materials; skills of design process organization for designing advertising and objective-spatial environments; experience of using computer systems;
- graduate knows and applies main aesthetic criteria, rules of composition, economic and ecological principles of design objects creation and elements of socio-cultural competence; is able to take into consideration social and cultural processes, legislation and ethical norms in productive or social activity;
- graduate mastered applied programs of computer simulation of design objects, acquired skills of creating 2D and 3D images;
- graduate knows criteria of estimation and procedures of approval for design solutions; he/she is able to present design results to professional community, customer and society, can organize his/her own professional activity in effective way.
