Characteristics of the educational program:
Gained competence: Graduates receive qualified theoretical and practical training for performing their own planning and organization of project designing activity. Process of studying is focused on revealing and perfecting creative individuality of every student. Training of Bachelors is based on humanitarian, natural-scientific and design disciplines as well as on diversity of designing themes.
Specialists in design possess professional knowledge in the field of development sketches for working designs of objects of different types, graphic design, object design, design of object special environment, interior and exterior design. The scope of their activity involves practical production of goods and management of the creation process of object-spatial systems. During the process of studying they learn modern programming systems and technologies for creation and processing of 2D images (Аdоbе РhоtоShор, Аdobе Ilustгаtог, СогеlDraw), 3D objects (3 Ds MAX, АutoСАD), development of multimedia products (FІаsh, Мауа) and text editors (Аdоbе Indesign). Professionals are able to transform and organize environment according to modern requirements and needs of society, to develop and present design ideas by means of graphics, modeling, multimedia tools, have experience of their own work with art tools and photomaterials. Graduates learn history and modern trends of design development, get acquainted with peculiarities of designer’s professional activity, take part in educational and social programmes, popularize art in society. The scope of graduates’ activity is both practical manufacturing of material culture objects and formation of design concepts on the mentioned themes.
- graduate possesses general culture, and is acquainted with main positions of humanitarian and social-economic sciences; he/she knows ethical and legal norms of professional activity and is able to analyze social problems; - graduate possesses modern scientific methods of investigating for professional tasks solution, methods of searching and generalization information, he/she has skills of oral, written and visual representation of results and is able to input and process textual, graphic and multimedia information; - graduate acquires experience of job and professional communication in the Internet, is able to use modern computer technologies for self-development and self-study; - graduate knows history of development of World and Ukrainian Art and Design, main principles of composition and shape-forming theory, geometric simulation and shape-forming of artifacts, concepts and methods of using lighting, colour, texture and facture in design, criteria of aesthetic expressiveness of images, application of means of drawing, painting and sculpture in design; - graduate possesses professional terminology, knows classification of design objects, main principles of objects design, elements of visual communication, object groups, objective-spatial systems, norms and principles of zoning, planning, development of volume-spatial structure, constructive scheme and artistic image, principles of signage systems in graphic design; - graduate possesses modern knowledge in the field of computer simulation of design objects, tools of engineering and computer graphics, text composition and photo materials processing; - graduate has basic notion about concepts and rules of normative and technical base of design, rules of project documentation composing both for object-spatial objects and graphic design products;
- graduate is able to assess his/her own gains and disadvantages, is ready to increase his/her level of professional competence, is able to accommodate to changing conditions, can think and act, initiate innovative solutions in designing process; - graduate is able to apply professional knowledge and practical skills from fundamental disciplines in the process of design; - graduate receives experience of working with specialized drawing and graphic devices, artistic materials; skills of design process organization for designing advertising and objective-spatial environments; experience of using computer systems; - graduate knows and applies main aesthetic criteria, rules of composition, economic and ecological principles of design objects creation and elements of socio-cultural competence; is able to take into consideration social and cultural processes, legislation and ethical norms in productive or social activity; - graduate mastered applied programs of computer simulation of design objects, acquired skills of creating 2D and 3D images; - graduate knows criteria of estimation and procedures of approval for design solutions; he/she is able to present design results to professional community, customer and society, can organize his/her own professional activity in effective way.

Occupational profiles of graduates: Professional profile – Designer of Objective-Spatial Environment
Develops environmental design, objective-spatial complexes for buildings and structures, design of sign systems for visual communication, performs pre-project analysis of design situation, prepares calculation and graphic parts of all design constituents by means of modern design methods and software tools, develops models of object, separate units and details of interior equipment, printing production packaging, outdoor advertising media. Takes part in compiling designing tasks for engineers and cooperate with them, agrees design solutions with customers, receives expertise by state bodies, conducts analysis, control and quality estimation of design product.
Professional profile – Graphic Designer
Creates 2D and 3D sketches for advertising, printing production and multimedia space, creates virtual informational model for particular design object: printing products, packaging, outdoor advertising by means of software programs (“Adobe». «Сoral», «3 Ds Max»), creates working models of design objects and prepares them for publishing or adapts them to the virtual system of multimedia space. Organizes work over group projects by means of modern technical and software design tools, performs operations in firm’s multimedia space, in the Internet by means of text, graphic and НТМL - editors.
Professional profile - Interior Designer
As a part of design group, he/she takes part in development of draft interior project and design elements of architectural environment (multi-purpose interior equipment, furniture, lighting, decor, small architectural forms, landscape elements); develops working drawings of interior elements and their visualization (furniture, lighting, decorative forms, architectural details) by means of modern design methods and software programs («Adobe», «СorеlDrew», «3 Ds Max», «АUTOСАD»). Prepares demonstrative and advertising materials for design results presentation.

Other program features: Programme provides real opportunity of individual choosing of professional subjects by students according to their professional preferences in order to define their further study.
