If a prior qualification level is gained in another country, it requires recognition (nostrification), which is conducted by Lviv Polytechnic National University. There are not mechanisms for the recognition of the learning outcomes gained through non-formal and informal learning developed.

Characteristics of the educational program:
Gained competence: • to be able to develop theoretical and eco-engineering basics for the design, construction and exploitation of technologies and technical facilities of environmental protection. • be able to assess the level of engineering and technical means of environmental protection from the harmful effects of production for acceptance of organizational decisions. • to be able to develop the engineering-ecological measures concerning branch peculiarities to optimize the environment.
• the ability to evaluate, interpret and synthesize information and data. • the ability to draft measures to prevent the entry of harmful substances into the environment and environmental problems solution (management of natural resources, industrial accidents disasters, acid rain, depletion of ozone layer, harmful effects of smog etc). • the ability to analyze the level of treatment technology; develop eco-engineering measures to improve treatment facilities; develop measures for the implementation of promising methods of treatment and newest equipment using normative and technical documentation, manufacturing instructions, professional scientific and technical information. • the ability to organize the work of treatment facilities in accordance with the requirements for providing the optimal ecological state of the environment. • the ability to use the specialized software to evaluate the negative impact on the environment. • the ability to make the passport of production wastes • the ability to justify and prepare decisions about choosing effective and environmentally friendly methods of collection, transportation, disposal, storage and disposal of waste, including toxic and radioactive. • the skills of work with the specialized measuring devices. • the ability to use the system of environmental legislation of Ukraine, and develop regulations and judicial document.
