After completing the course, a postgraduate student should be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
to know:
1) and understand the philosophical methodology of scientific knowledge, psychological and pedagogical aspects of professional and scientific activity;
2) the content and specificity of the professional activity of a teacher in higher education institutions;
3) principles and methods of organizing academic process in universities;
4) fundamentals of pedagogical control in universities and forms of its implementation;
be able to:
5) hold a scientific discussion with students at the appropriate professional level, organize and conduct practical classes, analyze practical experience of specialists in teaching philological disciplines, own educational and professional activity;
6) scientifically substantiate the results of professional activity in universities, to realize the creative potential to improve its forms, methods and technologies;
7) communicate using business, scientific and professional language, apply different styles of speech, methods and techniques of communication, acquire an extensive scientific and professional vocabulary;
8) apply modern information and communication tools and technologies to ensure effective scientific and professional communication;
9) use pedagogical techniques, forms of pedagogical control.

Pedagogical practice is a course of Doctor of Philosophy degree program aimed at preparing postgraduates for scientific and pedagogical activity in a higher educational institution and a type of practical activity of postgraduate students in the implementation of educational process in higher school, including teaching philological disciplines, organizing academic work of students, scientific and methodological work, acquisition of practical teaching skills.

The postgraduate pedagogical practice ends with a differentiated credit based on the cumulative system. All types of student’s work are assessed according to the developed criteria using a 100-point scale.
General criteria:
• performance of practice and individual tasks;
• adherence to professional ethics, rules of the department's internal rules;
• involvement, initiative in the process of task fulfillment;
• completeness and logic of the report;
• content, integrity and conciseness of the report and answers to the questions at the final conference;
• formation of professional skills and personality traits of a specialist;
• organization, confidence, interest in work.
