• to know the basic theories regarding chemical transformations of substances;
• to understand the nature of the chemical and physical phenomena that occur during chemical reactions;
• to understand the relationship between the substance structure and its effect on the chemical reaction and the thermodynamic parameters of that reaction;
• to analyze the effect of salts and solvents on the chemical reaction;
• to know the basic types of transformation mechanisms of organic substances;
• to know the basic principies of radical reactions

An evolution of the transition state theory and its applied value. The stationary concentration method. The Michaelis-Menten equation. The influence of associative equilibrium. The salt effects in chemical reactions. The influence of the solvent on the chemical reaction. The acidity functions and the rate of chemical reaction. A reaction rates involving acids and bases.The influence of substances structure on the enthalpy and entropy change. The isokinetic dependences in chemical reactions. The relationship between structure and reactivity of substances. The Gamet's equation. The Taft equation. The nucleophilic substitution. The electrophilic and nucleophilic attachment.
