- To learn terms and concepts of the theory of semiotics and poetics in architectural and objective environment.
- Understand the structure of the image; fundamental differences between symbol and sign, sense and meaning, allegory and symbol; semantics of male and female principle being in the architectural and objective environment.
- Learn to identify and lay in the image of the archetypal national structures, myths.
- Know semiotic principles and conformity to natural laws and be able to make a semiotic analysis of works of semiotic design based on the principles and laws.

Philosophy of sense. The artistic concept. The concept of poetics. The structure of the poetic image of architecture and objective environment. The concept of archetype in modern cultural studies. National archetypes architectural and objective environment. Symbol - the spiritual dimension of the image and creating the basis of poetic (new) image. The concept of the sign as a carrier of information. Types of signs. Functions of signs. Semiotics - the science of sign systems. The concept semiozysu. Significant ABC system. Semiotic principles and laws. Ontological principles. Methods of metonymy in design. Methods of metaphors in design.
