Learning outcomes:
Students' acquaintance with the structure and classification of polymers, the study of the foundations of the synthesis of macromolecular compounds and the methods of studying their chemical, physical and mechanical properties. about the ways, conditions and types of modifications of different nature polymers.
Study of the basics of the technology of processing polymer materials into products most common in the industry by high-performance methods: extrusion, injection molding, extrusion with subsequent blow-molding, thermoforming, etc. , influence of the main technological parameters of processing processes on the quality of finished products, optimal conditions of processing and ways of intensification of technological processes.

Summary of the subject:
Introduction. Basic concepts and definitions. Classification of polymers. Physical and mechanical properties of polymers. Molecular mass and molecular weight distribution of polymers. Preparation of polymers by radical polymerization and copolymerization. Preparation of polymers by ion polymerization. Preparation of Polymers by Polycondensation Method. Politechnical Methods of polymerization in block, solution, suspension. Emulsion, solid phase, gas-phase polymerization. Ways of conducting polycondensation. Plastic masses. Thermoplastics. Plastic masses. Heat-resistant plastics. Technology of thermoplastic products forming. Technology of formation by the method of injection molding. Technology of the production of sheet materials. Thermoforming. The technology of forming molded products by extrusion. The technology of forming molded products by rolling and calendaring. Technology of forming of products from reactoplast.
