• know basic fundamentals of toxicological examination of organic and inorganic chemicals and biological material;
• to know the chemistry of most reactions which are used in modern chemical-toxicological analysis to identify poisons;
• to be able to choose the correct research methods of biological material for the presence of toxic substances;
• to be able to conduct a toxicological analysis of selected objects of research.

Chemistry 1 (General and Inorganic Chemistry),
Chemistry 2 (Organic Chemistry).

Pharmacognosy,
Pharmaceutical Chemistry,
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

The milestones of toxicological chemistry in Ukraine. Poisoning and its classification. Detoxification. Methods of analysis used in toxicological chemistry. Toxic and potent substances which are isolated from biological material by the process of steam distillation; the separation of one chlorine derivatives from others; allocation of alkaloids; substances that are isolated from biological material by the process of objects mineralization; detection of metallic poisons.
