As a result of studying the module student must:
- know the peculiarities of organization of accounting in the public sector of economy for the main functional areas, and the basic principles of reporting, and inventory in the system of budgetary institutions;
- be able to record the main business processes in accordance with current legislation and to summarize information about the accounting objects in the financial statements of the public sector entities.

The basics of accounting in the public sector. Accounting of fixed assets. Accounting of intangible assets. Accounting of inventories. Accounting of financial investments. Accounting of cash transactions. Accounting of operations with own capital. Accounting of payables. Accounting of payroll, social insurance, and scholarships. Accounting of production (works, services). Accounting of income, expenditures and budget performance. Reporting of the public sector entities.
