basic understanding of the banking system, the essence and functions, principles of the functioning of central and commercial banks, the study of the banking system of Ukraine and the foundations of the National Bank of Ukraine; learning of the peculiarities of banking, financial monitoring principles, financial security, the fundamentals of state supervision and control of banking activities; studying of the mechanisms of formation of the bank resource base; studying of the implementation of various types of banking transactions and banking services; mastering the methodological principles regarding the the commercial bank activity etc.;

basic knowledge of the essence of monetary policy and instruments for its implementation; oversight functions of the National Bank of Ukraine; money circulation; foundations of monetary policy; order of emission-cash work at the National Bank of Ukraine;

the ability to use modern methods for the evaluation of active, passive, cash settlement, foreign exchange, stock transactions, as well as for the evaluation of the commercial bank activity.
