Classification and basic requirements for structures of packing equipment for artificial products and bulk materials. The main functional devices of packaging equipment. Classification of modern computer-aided design systems. Characteristics of automated design systems and features of use. Software of modern computer-aided design systems and computer base for their realization. Methods of automated calculation and design of elements and units of packaging equipment and their implementation peculiarities. Use of modern CAD and CAM systems for automated design and calculation of constructions of packing equipment for artificial products and bulk materials.
