Learning outcomes:
Must know: classification, constructional principles and methods of automation and automated packaging lines layout; means of automation of packaging lines; methods of calculating the components of automated and automatic packaging lines; methods of calculating the productivity of automatic machines and automatic machines.
Must be able to correctly analyze the state of the product and the requirements of the technological process in the packaging of artificial products, bulk materials, viscous substances and liquids; to develop the optimum technological process of packing in the conditions of the automated (automatic) line and its layout; to select the necessary equipment and automation equipment for the layout of the packaging line; to design non-standard equipment and means of automation of packaging lines, to make calculations of the proposed equipment; determine the performance of automatic machines and automated lines.

Prerequisites: Packaging equipment; Equipment for measuring materials; The technology of packaging and storage the packing products.

Summary of the subject:
General tendencies of development of automated packaging production. Automated packaging production: basic terms and definitions; classification of technological methods for their suitability for automation; transport-manipulation processes in automated technological complexes; types of transport operations; transport and technological schemes of packing of products; peculiarities of construction of transport technological schemes of automated production. Technical means of automation of packaging processes: types of technical means of automation; the concept of a technological machine and its structure; technical means of various stages of automation of production processes; the concept of flexible automated production; flexible production modules and robotic technological complexes of packaging production; classification of industrial robots (PR); features of the use of PR for the packaging of small-piece goods and the formation of transport packages. Indicators of efficiency of packaging complexes: functional accuracy and reliability of technological packaging systems and its indicators; readiness coefficient of multicomponent packaging complexes, method of determination; technological, cyclic, technical and actual productivity of the technological complex of packaging.
