Learning outcomes:
Must know: classification, constructional principles and methods of automation and automated packaging lines layout; means of automation of packaging lines; methods of calculating the components of automated and automatic packaging lines; methods of calculating the productivity of automatic machines and automatic machines.
Must be able to correctly analyze the state of the product and the requirements of the technological process in the packaging of artificial products, bulk materials, viscous substances and liquids; to develop the optimum technological process of packing in the conditions of the automated (automatic) line and its layout; to select the necessary equipment and automation equipment for the layout of the packaging line; to design non-standard equipment and means of automation of packaging lines, to make calculations of the proposed equipment; determine the performance of automatic machines and automated lines.

Summary of the subject:
Multi-position packaging machines-automatics: technological principles of construction, variants of structure; layout of automatic and sequential parallel machines; rotary machines; determining the number of positions of packing machines. Automatic and automated packaging lines: construction principles and classification; lines with different degrees of automation and different types of main equipment; one and a lot of flow technological lines of packaging, the composition of the lines, types of intergranular communication, features and variants of line layouts. Technical means of automation of transport processes in technological complexes of packaging: characteristic of material flows; conveyors and receivers of containers, packages, products; technical means of overloading and internally operating transport (means of product orientation, tables-conveyors); technical means for reforming material flows: devices for combining and separating flows; auxiliary equipment based on vibration equipment.
Automated equipment for the creation of transport packages: equipment for processing and attachment of transport packages, general information, terms and definitions; means and methods of fastening; equipment for fastening transport packages with films, grids, slings and bindings.
Automated bottling lines for food liquids in glass containers: Equipment for the preparation of transport containers (automatic machines for inserting bottles into boxes and removing them; machines for cleaning boxes); equipment of the line of preparation of consumer packaging (pre-treatment of containers, bottle washing machines); bottling automata, bottle overturning devices in the process of failure; automatic vehicles for feeding the lines of the container: conveyors, elevators for launching and lifting bottles, lifts for glass containers. Laying equipment in cookware and bottling lines.

Verification of implementation of practical tasks, assessment of activity during practical classes, control measures on selected topics of practical work (30%); final control (control test-exam): written-oral form (70%).
