Major: Geotechnical Engineering
Code of Subject: 7.103.03.E.24
Credits: 3.5
Department: Bridges and Structural Mechanics
Lecturer: Ph.D. Ivanytskyi Ya. L.
Semester: 2 семестр
Mode of Study: денна
Learning outcomes:
• to know professionally-oriented disciplines, conduct experiments on the determination of physical and mechanical characteristics of soils and their processing;
• be able to investigate the problem of the construction of construction sites, plan and carry out precise monitoring of the deformation of buildings; to monitor the territories of man-made risk;
• have an idea of the methods of engineering-geodynamic research.
Required prior and related subjects:
• Dynamic geodesy
• Application of modern technologies in geotechnical engineering,
• Planetary and engineering geodynamics.
Summary of the subject:
The processes of deformation and destruction of soils for power load and interaction with groundwaters are considered. Methods and technical means of research of physical-mechanical characteristics of soils. New calculation modules and methods for calculating stress-strain state. Modern methods of control of subsidence of shear in order to prevent the destruction of engineering structures.
