Learning outcomes:
By the end of the study learners are expected to be able to demonstrate such learning outcomes: to speak foreign language in familiar academic and general professional surrounding
• prepare and present speeches with properly structured professional content, using appropriate linguistic and non-linguistic means of communication;
• be able to logically and coherently organize information related to typical educational and professional topics for further oral presentation, using appropriate language means;
• demonstrate knowledge of a sufficient number of relevant words and terms required to provide information on selected topics related to the future profession, and the ability to use them correctly during oral presentations;
• demonstrate the ability to use necessary signal linguistic means during oral presentations;
• explain the information presented in graphical form during oral presentations, using appropriate linguistic means;
• answer to listeners’ questions concerning content and form of information presenting; respond to inconvenient questions, organize discussion on the topic of speech, using appropriate linguistic means;
• select relevant information, looking through educational and professional websites;
• demonstrate understanding of goal, structure, general and detailed contents, requirements of training and working documentation;
• to write educational and working documentation (resume, cover / motivational letter) with a sufficient level of grammatical accuracy and appropriate range of vocabulary; inspect, edit and correct them;
• demonstrate a working understanding of existing rules and standard procedures during academic / professional interviews;
• behave effectively during the interview, answering questions from interviewers with great accuracy, correspondence and sufficient range of vocabulary; ask questions related to the situation; use appropriate verbal (vocabulary and grammar) and nonverbal (melody, pauses, gestures, posture, dress code, cosmetics, etc.) means of communication.

Summary of the discipline: The behavior of a young person in the modern society. Media influence on forming personality outlook. (Description of the best life moments and educational experience. My life way in future. Information exchange and discussion on the topic related to people’s characters. Watching the video: «How to live to 100?» Skills in producing exciting news. Writing a discursive essay. Story about your attitude to time. The role of customs and traditions in my life. Discussion about taking difficult decisions and finding ways out of them.
Solving various problems in forming culture among youth. (Struggle against fraud. To be a witness or no? Бути свідком чи ні?Creation of informational leaflet for tourists. Ability to come out of extreme situations. Watching the video concerning the topic. Youth culture: development or degradation. Pop-culture, films. Holding an excursion tour. Watching the video).
