Learning outcomes:
1.Must know:
on a conceptual level: the main trends in judicial rhetoric development, legal events, cultural concepts in the law, a place and a role of a lawyer in the society;
on a fundamental level: the content of judicial rhetoric, principles, functions and components; the ratio of judicial rhetoric and professional culture of a lawyer; the reasons of development of internal duty's imperative; factors that determine the model of a modern lawyer, both in our country and in other countries (comparative analysis);
on a practical and creative level: requirements that are put to the lawyer in an independent democratic Ukraine, the reasons of lawyers' misconduct, the problems of creating professional and ethics code of a lawyer, public attitudes toward lawyers.
2.Must be able to:
on a reproductive level: to implement the requirements of the state to the formation of lawyers high professional culture to express their thoughts, feelings and views on various issues during the study course, based on theoretical knowledge, to argue and carry out a search activity in solving certain issues of the discipline;
on a heuristic level: to prepare reports and essays, to form their own view in judicial rhetoric;
on a creative level: to form their own views and inner conviction of professional lawyer's outlook, to implement into practice, on the principle of legal sense, a spiritual content of laws and other legal documents, to distinguish internal and external imperative of a duty in a legal and illegal phenomena.

Summary of the subject:
Judicial rhetoric is philosophy and law science of mental and speech activities aimed at persuasion, influence and achieve goals in the process of verbal communication.
Mastery of judicial rhetoric makes the students ability and skills to analyze and produce texts of various types for the purpose of appointment and conditions of communication in their future work.
Learning of skills of word possession, general knowledge, skills in public speaking, creative interpretation of existing arsenal of techniques and methods for the preparation for court speech is an essential element of liberal education in general and an important part of training lawyer.
Judicial rhetoric as an area that covers all forms of moral demands, can internally grasp the profession, is able to develop a large pool of skills of a future lawyer and a logic of professional activities, ethics of thinking, etc.

Assessment methods and criteria:
Evaluation of the student’s results is subject to a 100-grade scale, established at Lviv Polytechnic National Universityin accordance with the Provisions of the rating evaluation of the achievements of the students.
The final score of the course of study consists of the evaluation of the current control of the achievements of the students during a term and the evaluation of the achievements of the students during a term control.
Seminars cover the most important themes and chapters of judicial rhetoric. A theoretical material, skills and abilities, creativity, psychological readiness for future legal activity are based on the active training.
Independent work is planned as a form of training that aims to assist in studying proposed literature, in searching answers to the problem issues of the course, mastering the practical tasks of the course. This form of work is basic for students.
Term control is carried out in the form of the exam by the cumulative system, within the terms provided in the schedule of the educational process at the University.
Credit is a form of a term control of students’ results in a semester course of study.
Credit covers theoretical questions, tasks that require creativity and ability to synthesize acquired knowledge and apply them in solving practical tasks, and the material provided in the working curriculum of the subject.
Current score for practical classes – 40. Individual task – 30. Control work – 30. Final sore – 100
