Learning outcomes:
• know the technical and technological features of the functioning of the characteristic energy subsystems;
• have skills in comparative cost-effectiveness assessment of power unit elements, taking into account their reliability indicators;
• to understand the structural and technological properties of traditional and systematic approach to the synthesis of new electrical circuits of power units of power plants;
• possess methods of analysis and models of objects of electrical systems;
• have practical skills in choosing electrical circuits of high reliability and parameters of elements of power plants and interconnections;
• understand the problems and prospects for the development of distribution grids and respectful use of energy.

Summary of the subject:
Theoretical and practical issues of technical aspects of energy security regarding the electricity sector of the economy and improving the structural and functional reliability of the electrical part of power plants, interconnections and power distribution networks. Methods of choosing the schemes of high reliability and parameters of the elements of the electrical part of power plants, interconnections and estimation of their technical and economic indicators. Ecological properties of ultra-high and ultra-high voltage overhead lines. Mathematical methods and models for the analysis of steady-state modes and transients of electricity objects.
