Learning outcomes:
The student which studied module must:
– to know particularity work characteristics of the industrial TPP; the existing technological schemes of TPP and also the indexes of thermal efficiency; characteristics of the supply power systems; thermal schemes and the characteristics of the gas-turbine units on the TPP; the characteristics of gas-vapor units on the TPP; the technological structure of the power plant;
– be able to distinguish between the technological schemes of the TPP; to calculate thermal schemes of steam-turbine, gas-turbine units; to determine the energy characteristics of TPP equipment; to perform technical and economic analysis of TPP.
– to know particularity work characteristics of the industrial TPP; the existing technological schemes of TPP and also the indexes of thermal efficiency; characteristics of the supply power systems; thermal schemes and the characteristics of the gas-turbine units on the TPP; the characteristics of gas-vapor units on the TPP; the technological structure of the power plant;
– be able to distinguish between the technological schemes of the TPP; to calculate thermal schemes of steam-turbine, gas-turbine units; to determine the energy characteristics of TPP equipment; to perform technical and economic analysis of TPP.
Required prior and related subjects:
– pre-requisites: technical thermodynamics, heat-technical processes, and units, systems of nature protection in the power engineering;
– co-requisites: thermal engines of industrial companies, the boilers of industrial companies.
– co-requisites: thermal engines of industrial companies, the boilers of industrial companies.
Summary of the subject:
The steam converters, the reducing-cooling plants. The requirements to the quality of feed water and network water. The thermal deaeration. The thermal scheme of steam-turbine power station. The general characteristic of the thermal scheme. The scheduling of the principal thermal scheme. The calculation of thermal scheme of the steam-turbine station. The regenerative heating of the feedwater. The characteristics of the gas-turbine engines. The influence of the ratio of pressures, the heat regeneration, the intermediate cooling and the heating to the efficiency of the GTE. The technological schemes and the cycles of the GTU. The advanced schemes of using the GTU. The general characteristics of the SGU, their types and schemes of use in industrial TPP. The systems types of water supply. The treatment of the circulating water and the methods of the capacitors pollution abatement. The choice of the power and the main equipment of the power plants.
