Providing future knowledge specialists with:
- Fundamentals of Radioecology and Radiobiology;
- Basic principles for measuring the content of radionuclides in environmental objects;
- Radionuclide migration in aquatic ecosystems, soil, atmosphere, plants and animals;
- Basic methods for calculating doses from external and internal radiation.

Summary of the subject:
Radioecology as a science - history and modern problems. Basic regularities of radioactive transformations. Classification of sources of ionizing radiation. Features of radioactive contamination of the environment. Radioactivity of ecosystems and migration of radionuclides in the air, water ecosystems, soil environment, forest biocenoses, agrocenoses. Ways of radionuclide admission to organisms of plants, animals and people. Biological action of ionizing radiation. Radioecology of settlements. Radioecological monitoring.
