Learning outcomes:
- study of the latest achievements of science and technology, the order of their implementation, as well as the organization of research, patent science and inventions in the field of telecommunications;
- obtaining experience in solving practical problems requiring the use of professional knowledge and skills of the master, familiarization with the organization of research in the field of information networks, the procedure for developing, passing and approval of design and technical documentation at enterprises, whose activities are focused on the use of information networks of different purposes;
- acquisition of skills in conducting research work, implementation of research results, preparation of scientific reports and articles;
- generalization, systematization, consolidation and deepening of knowledge on the studied disciplines of the curriculum;
- acumulation and analysis of materials and conducting research for the preparation of master's qualification work.
Required prior and related subjects:
Pre-diploma practice is the final stage of the educational process, it is admitted to students who completed the course of theoretical training in the specified specialty, regardless of the form of study.
Summary of the subject:
Conducting the practice on the theme of master's qualification work is aimed at further consolidation and deepening of theoretical knowledge in telecommunication disciplines, production skills acquired during the course of previous practices, familiarization with the application of research methods in the field of telecommunications and the collection of materials necessary for writing master's qualification work.
Recommended Books:
In order to qualitatively prepare and execute the master's qualification work together with the head of pre-diploma practice, individual tasks are determined and a list of recommended literature is determined.
Assessment methods and criteria:
• In-term assessment (10%)
• Assessment for the practice of the head of the enterprise (20%)
• Defense of the practice results (70%)

During the practice the student should explore the extent necessary to fulfill the master's qualification work:
- computer equipment and software;
- machinery, equipment, test equipment;
- question of the organization of research and design work;
- experience of scientists, leading engineers;
- questions of economy, production, government and industry standards.
Required prior and related subjects:
Pre-requisites: disciplines on a profile of Master's qualification work.
Summary of the subject:
Individual tasks defined subject MQW and may include the following sections: 1. Review of current literature on the topic chosen MQW. 2. Collect baseline data, necessary for solving scientific problems. 3. Study of regulatory documents related to the subject MQW. 4. Study (development) methods of calculation. 5. Learning (development) methodology for conducting experiments. 6. Selection and justification of methods of analysis, synthesis, optimization components, systems using computers. 7. Select the algorithm solving the problem.
Recommended Books:
Recommended literature includes basic textbooks and manuals of relevant disciplines, economics and organization of production and materials provided by the enterprise (department) and selected student independently while working on the MQW.
Assessment methods and criteria:
Writing, oral (80% - a written report on the practice, 20% - answering questions committee members)

Summary of the subject:
Use of the acquired knowledge and skills for the master's qualification work. Use of normative, scientific and technological materials for writing an explanatory note, creating graphic materials and presentations for protection at the DEC. Application of software and computer technologies for automation of design and technological design on the theme of master's qualification work.
