Learning outcomes:
Following the completion of the module the student must:
• know the calculation of basic units and transmitting radio receiver;
• know the principles and rules for constructing block diagrams and transmitting radio receiver and electronic information and communication systems for various purposes;
• be able to calculate the performance and characteristics of major components and transmitting radio receiver and electronic information and communication systems for various purposes;
• be able to carry out circuit design of radio transmitting and radio receiver and using computer technology, software tools and computer-aided design;
• own methods of calculating technical parameters of the basic units and transmitting radio receiver and electronic information and communication systems for various purposes.

Prerequisites: Microwave devices and antennas. Methods of signal generation and formation. Methods of signal reception and processing. Fundamentals of radio system theory.

Summary of the subject:
Preliminary design and technical radio receivers and transmitters. Features selection block diagrams of radio receivers and transmitters for different purposes. Selecting components. Input range and design of selective amplifiers radio receiver. Design output amplifiers transmitters. Frequency converters and oscillator. Designing detectors and modulators signals. Selection and calculation of PRA and submarines. Design exciters and frequency synthesizers. Design requirements for the design of radio receivers and transmitters.
