The Department of Philosophy, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic National University, invites all interested – students, postgraduate students and academic staff – to an online presentation of the textbook «The role of religion in modern social processes», compiled by an academic team of the Department of Philosophy, and published by Lviv Polytechnic Publishing House.
Nowadays, religion seems to be pushed to margins, and it seems that it does not affect society, people. The textbook systematically analyzes the phenomenon of religion, highlights its role in society and the individual. Its purpose is to provide some guidance on the diversity of religious denominations, their origins, history, current status and interaction. Also, the purpose of the textbook is to form a worldview and religious tolerance, to provide knowledge about religion that reveals the essence of religious phenomena and objectively evaluates them.
The online presentation will take place on December 11, 2020 on the Zoom platform.
