The second scientific and practical symposium ‘Cooperation between Norway and Ukraine: education, research and business’, which was held in June in Mykolaiv, became a landmark event in Ukrainian business, scientific and educational environment.
At the investment forum with the participation of Amund Myklebust, the Head of The Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, have been outlined the perspective directions of international business cooperation between two countries and emphasized on the willingness of the Kingdom of Norway to support the innovative projects of industrial and agricultural areas in Ukraine. The joint scientific and technological research in Norwegian and Ukrainian universities within the international projects and programs, the promotion of research results in the Norwegian business environment are acquiring the special significance.
Anatolii Burmistrov, the Professor of Nord University in Bodo, focused on the urgent issues and real opportunities of the Norwegian-Ukrainian cooperation in the sector of public administration, while the project manager Lana Berglund revealed the importance of innovation for the creating of the future on the specific examples.
Volodymyr Rubtsov, the President of International Foundation for Social Adaptation, summarized the results of the implementation the Ukraine-Norway educational project and pointed out on the high creativity of project participants’ achievements, including the developments made in Lviv Polytechnic National University. It is about the development of retraining programs and social adaptation of servicemen and their families and also about the diversity, practical and social value of the programs.
The participation in the symposium of the interested parties’ representatives – The Royal Norwegian Embassy, The Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Nord University, Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, Universities Alliance of Ukraine, public authorities, business structures and public organizations – has given a chance to outline the condition and prospects of Norwegian-Ukrainian cooperation in the areas of education, research and business in details and adopt the appropriate decisions.
