Recently, in Dunaiv village, Peremyshliany region, there has been a roundtable meeting, held within the already traditional Dunaiv Conversations, restarted several years ago with the support and under the patronage of the rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University Professor Yurii Bobalo, who was born in this picturesque village of the foothills.

The main topic of the conversation was the reforms in school education. The participants of an interesting and fruitful discussion were scholars, teachers and heads of local schools, as well as local authorities.

As it is known, in ancient times Dunaiv was a well-known city with Magdeburg Law. Here was the residence of Latin archbishops. In 1470-1472 Dunaiv hosted famous meetings of European humanists and intellectuals. Among them there was a prominent Italian poet Filippo Buonaccorsi, called Callimachus, who was persecuted by the Inquisition and found rescue here in Dunaiv. The initiator of the Conversations was Lviv Archbishop Hryhorii from Sianok, who had here a summer residence.

A memorable moment of the meeting was the speech of Bronisław Kamiński, a Polish publicist and publisher from Kudowa-Zdrój, who presented the Dunaiv inhabitants the picture of one of the first Dunaiv Conversations with the participation of Filippo Buonaccorsi and Archbishop Hryhorii from Sianok.
