Software Department, Lviv Polytechnic

On March 5, 2019, Dov Nimratz, a leading GlobalLogic specialist with over 30 years of experience in the field of embedded systems, delivered a brilliant lecture for the third-year students of Software Department. The theme of the event was primarily for those students who study Embedded Systems Programming and Internet of Things.

The lecturer showed how rapidly this industry is developing and outlined its perspectives. The audience found out that technologies, which previously seemed to be an unattainable dream, actually already exist and gradually penetrate into everyday life. In particular, the quadcopters that fly to the bridge in order to verify the integrity of the construction are becoming reality. Previously, such verification was done by people, and it was associated with risks and significant costs. Mines in the fields are now detected more effectively by machines than people. A new trend in cars is the prediction of pedestrian behavior to prevent road accidents due to their inattention.

GlobalLogic itself can boast a development that is able to recognize traffic signs and move in accordance with them. The speaker and his colleagues generate new ideas and they are not afraid to realize them, and such creative people implement their developments in the company.

The speaker emphasized that the person who chose to be a programmer would always have an opportunity to work in the specialty, if he/she wants to do it. Moreover, creative people who can generate interesting and useful ideas will definitely become successful in IT sphere, and very quickly. The amount of work is increasing, and there is always need for personnel. Dov Nimratz offered technological and mentoring assistance to students who have their own ideas.

There has been announced that at least three more lectures by leading GlobalLogic specialists will be delivered shortly.
