On July 19, in Lviv Polytechnic National University there was a meeting with the representatives of Roshen Company where it was agreed on prospective cooperation. Helena Varga, the HR Director of this company and Olha Savkina, the Head of the Evaluation and Training Department, presented for Polytechnicians a long-term partnership program with Ukrainian universities.
The main purpose of this program is to improve the quality of education, in accordance with the requirements of the labour market as well as to establish cooperation on key specialties, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry and Mechanics.
Representatives of the company outlined such cooperation intentions as:
– improvement of the material and technical base of certain departments of higher education institutions;
– creating opportunities for receiving special scholarships for students of mentioned specialties, as well as awards for the best academics of certain departments;
– conducting a series of events aimed at informing students about current business trends, challenges and requirements.
During their visit to University, the company’s representatives met with the Vice Rector for Scientific Research Nataliia Chukhrai, the Vice Rector Oleh Davydchak, the Head of the Research and Development Department Liliia Zhuk, the Head of the Department of Marketing and Innovation Iryna Romanovska, the Director of the Institute of Engineering Mechanics and Transport Oleksii Lanets, the Head of the Department of Physical, Analytical and General Chemistry Pavlo Shapoval, the Head of the Department of Organic Products Technology Zorian Pikh and the Associate Professor of the Department of Technology of Biologically Active Substances, Pharmacy and Biotechnology Maryna Stasevych.
After the meeting, the Polytechnic’s guests were demonstrated the new laboratories of ICCT and IEMT, as well as the Tech StartUp School facilities.
