Recently, the first Ukrainian competition of defense technologies projects was held by the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» together with the state concern «Ukroboronprom», the largest potential customer of new defense and dual-use technologies, as well as the State Innovation Finance and Credit Institution, the League of Defense Companies, the Ministry of Defense and the State Special Communications Service.
In total, 132 projects of defense and dual-use technologies were received for consideration of the expert competition commission (it included scientists and managers of private defense business). In particular, 82 projects were from higher education institutions, 10 from institutions of the National Academy of Sciences, 34 from enterprises and organizations and 6 from individuals.
To participate in the second round, the jury selected 85 projects, 43 of which had already reached the final. Following the results of the competition, 32 finalists, authors of the developments, signed protocols on intentions for the development and implementation of their projects.
Among the projects which are planned to be implemented, there is a mobile application of Intelligence assessment by the developers of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
