During quarantine, educational institutions had to limit their work and move to distance learning. However, not all students went home. Most of them stayed in dorms. The director of the campus Ihor Helzhynskyi told what rules they have to follow.
– For the most part, we work as usual. We recommend students go home for the quarantine period. However, this is not convenient for everyone, so most of them stay here.
We do not accommodate new people in the dormitories, as stipulated by the Rector’s Order. Admission of outsiders to the dorms is obviously also forbidden. As for foreign students, they all remain in Ukraine. Four more students arrived, but currently we cannot accommodate them in the dorms. They must stay in isolation for 14 days, then bring a medical certificate confirming they are healthy. Then they will be settled.
In addition, we do wet cleaning, wipe all the handrails and door handles. We follow the same security measures as the entire city. In case somebody feels sick, the resident of the dorm can inform a dorm keeper or student operational units. There are specially equipped rooms in which feeling sick persons with high temperature can be isolated till a doctor or an ambulance arrive.
