Despite the quarantine, the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University, in cooperation with Ukrainian Association of South Africa, continues to work on a sociological research «Ukrainians of the Republic of South Africa: Identity, Society, Future» and complete field survey of Ukrainians from the Western Cape, Pretoria, Johannesburg and Durban. The IECDR has also prepared an interesting statistics on Ukrainian migration to the Republic of South Africa (according to the UN).
The purpose of the project is to find out the peculiarities of Ukrainian migrants, persons of Ukrainian origin and their associations in South Africa in order to identify the potential for cooperation between Ukraine and Ukrainians in South Africa.
The results of the research will be presented in the autumn at the roundtable discussion «Ukrainians in Africa: Horizons of Common Growth».
