In November last year, Lviv Polytechnic gained access to SciFinder database. This was made possible by the financial support of ROSHEN Confectionery Corporation, with which the University has been cooperating.
SciFinder is one of the most important services produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) – a division of the American Chemical Society that has provided the most comprehensive repository of research in chemistry and related sciences. The purpose of CAS is to search, collect and systematize all published information on chemicals. Unlike other databases with text search, SciFinder allows you to search for chemical compounds, their properties and reactions using information about the molecular structure of the compound. It should be noted that today CAS scientists analyze publications in 50 languages, including Ukrainian.
For ten months, our researchers have had the opportunity to use SciFinder, so now Polytechnicians are kindly asked to take the poll «Experience in using SciFinder database».
