On February 25, Lviv Polytechnic hosted the International Conference «Professional Residential Property Manager: A Prospect for Youth». It was organized and held by the Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Systems, including the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation together with the NGO Research Center for Local Self-Government.
Welcoming speech was made by CEBS Director Zinovii Blikharskyi, Head of the mentioned NGO Volodymyr Bryhilevych and a guest from Germany, expert in IWO (Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe) Thomas Ruhland.
One of the thematic directions of the conference was Energy efficiency, so the Director of the Institute emphasized the relevance of this area for Ukraine and Polytechnic. According to him, energy is now quite expensive, so CEBS researchers in their numerous studies pay considerable attention to the issue of Energy Conservation.
The participants of the conference learned about the role of a Professional Residential Property Manager and Project Manager for the implementation of the Energy Efficiency Fund activities, the prospects of this profession for young people, the German experience of the housing management system etc. In addition, there was a presentation of the VITAL project of the Research Center for Local Self-Government, specializing in vocational training of Residential Property Managers in the Lviv region.
