On October 13, 2020 at the meeting of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education representatives of the Erasmus+ KA2 project «Structuring cooperation in doctoral research, transferrable skills training, and academic writing instruction in Ukraine’s regions» (DocHub) Liudmyla Kryvoruchka, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy , Ihor Oleksiv, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Iryna Zolotariova, Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, presented proposals to improve the process of accreditation of educational and scientific programs of the third cycle of education.
In particular, the project representatives suggested:
- institutional algorithm for accreditation of educational and scientific programs of the third cycle of education;
- development of two separate documents, namely «Guidelines for the application of the Criteria for assessing the quality of educational programs of the first and second cycles of education» and «Guidelines for the application of the Criteria for assessing the quality of educational programs of the third cycle of education»;
- conducting additional trainings for experts who evaluate PhD programs;
- implementation of the block «Research methods» in the educational programs of the third cycle of education;
- intensification of regular and inclusive dialogue with all participants in the accreditation process: seminars and discussions with experts who have already conducted accreditation examinations, with higher education institutions and guarantors of «excellent» programs.
