On May 27, 2020, there was an online meeting of the staff of the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations (IECDR) with Nataliya Poshyvaylo-Towler, Regional Vice President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), and representatives of Ukrainian communities in Eastern, South, South-Eastern Asia, Oceania and Africa. Within the meeting IECDR staff held a webinar on the Institute’s educational projects.
The event was part of a long-term partnership between the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations and the Ukrainian World Congress.
The purpose of the meeting was to establish cooperation between IECDR and the Ukrainian communities of East, South and South-Eastern Asia, Oceania and Africa, as well as to acquaint the representatives of these communities with the educational projects of the Institute.
The event was moderated by Nataliya Poshyvaylo-Towler, Regional Vice President of the UWC.
The organizers and participants of the online meeting and webinar were greeted by Nataliia Chukhrai, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University. Nataliia Chukhrai expressed her gratitude to our diaspora who, living far away from Ukraine, continue to work for the benefit of our country and maintain its image in the international arena. Addressing the participants of the online event, Prof. Chukhrai stressed the readiness of Lviv Polytechnic for a new partnership, especially in the field of international cooperation, and support of all initiatives: «Lviv Polytechnic declares itself as the University without restrictions. We are open to all forms of cooperation and need your participation. I wish the participants of today’s meeting fruitful cooperation and new projects.»
Iryna Kliuchkovska, IECDR Director, noted that in the field of education, the Institute, first of all, works with students and adults, but also does not avoid schooling. Iryna Kliuchkovska presented the educational areas in which the Institute staff is working. Director of IECDR also told about the educational project «Step to Ukraine».
