On World Science Day for Peace and Development, members of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Olesia Vashchuk and Iryna Hubeladze took part in the online International Roundtable «Science for and with Society in dealing with COVID-19» organized by National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic».
In particular, Iryna Hubeladze as National Representative and Plan S Officer at the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (Eurodoc) presented the organization’s experience in supporting and disseminating open science policy, pan-European researches on dissemination of open science practices and the OPTIMA project (Open Practices, Transparency and Integrity for Modern Academia), which is coordinated by Lviv Polytechnic National University and in particular its representative Oleksandr Berezko.
Given the pandemic and the need for a rapid response from the scientific community, in particular regarding the dissemination and exchange of knowledge and experience between researchers, the need to use the practices of open science has become particularly clear.
