Technology Basics of Vibration and Centrifugal Strengthening of Automobile Discs and Planes Drum Wheels from Non-Ferous Metals and Alloys

Surface strengthening of the details of rotation bodies forms by vibration and centrifugal processing by increasing the hardness of metal and redistribution of residual stresses in it provides increased the longevity by 2-2.5 times of airplanes wheels and vehicles with discs from the magnesium and aluminum alloys. Alongside with increased reliability of disks and drums this strengthening technology allows to reduce the weight of these parts by 15-20% that improves the dynamic characteristics of cars, reliability and security of transport transportations. Vibration and centrifugal strengthening of the drums and flange from the alloys of AK6 and ML-12 was put into production at airplanes wheels manufacturing of MIG planes. Bench and flight tests proved increasing longevity ofwheels by 1.5-2 times.
