We offer the mathematical models and software tool prototype to evaluate the reliability and risk indices of software, and software and hardware packages considering their exploitation features. This tool allows us to determine the following reliability indexes: for renewable research facilities: coefficient of readiness, operational coefficient of readiness, average duration before the repair, determination of the acceptable level of facility functioning safety; for non-renewable facilities: average uptime, determination of the acceptable level of facility functioning safety.
