Learning outcomes:
• To investigate management utilities and industry waste problems, the use of non-waste and low-waste technologies in construction;
• To know technology of recycling waste created by housing and utility industries in products with next recycling in construction;
• to be able to explore the physical, mechanical and technological properties of waste products and use them in the manufacture of building materials;
• be able to manage the process of forming the structure of building materials containing active mineral additives - waste industry.

Summary of the subject:
The concept of sustainable development. Modern waste management strategy. The main objectives addressed to management wastes in Ukraine. Classification of waste utilities. The main provisions of the waste management system. Separate collection of household waste. Performance characteristics of industrial waste and municipal services. The ways of regeneration municipal waste. Solid waste. Layouts of polygons. Design of landfills TPV. Biogas and landfill gas. Cleaning systems and biogas. General characteristics of wastewater and methods of it`s cleaning. Recycling and disposal of sewage sludge in construction. Thermal utilization of solid waste. Incinerators. Alternative fuels in the cement industry.
