Modern Technologies for Meteorological Parameters Measurement

Major: Earth Sciences
Code of Subject: 8.103.00.M.25
Credits: 3
Department: Higher Geodesy and Astronomy
Lecturer: Professor Zablotsky Fedor Dmitrovich.
Semester: 4 семестр
Mode of Study: денна
Learning outcomes:
• know the definition and characteristics of the main meteorological parameters: atmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity, air density, dew point temperature; basic methods of measuring meteorological parameters in the troposphere and stratosphere; methods for determining the hydrostatic and wet components of the anti-aircraft tropospheric delay of GNSS signals; methods for determining the water vapor content in the atmosphere.
• be able to build vertical profiles of major meteorological variables within a neutral atmosphere; using data from ground-based meteorological observations and radio soundings, to determine and evaluate the values ??of hydrostatic and wet components of the anti-aircraft tropospheric delay of GNSS signals; to determine the content of integrated water vapor in the troposphere according to the data of the zenith tropospheric delay derived from GNSS measurements;
• have an idea of ??the development of technologies for measuring meteorological parameters.
Required prior and related subjects:
• Fundamentals of meteorology and climatology
• GNSS meteorology
• GNSS information resources
Summary of the subject:
