Learning outcomes:
· Know the basic concepts and patterns of probability theory and the typical probability distributions of random variables, as well as the technical content of these concepts and distributions;
· Be able to determine statistical and correlation characteristics of random variables and processes;
· Be able to apply the theory of probability theory to the analysis and design of telecommunication devices and systems, as well as production processes;
· Be able to perform statistical processing of experimental results and to plan the volume of experiments using probabilistic methods;
· Be able to determine the statistical and correlation characteristics of pseudorandom sequences and to make the best choice of sequence for the communication channel;
· Know the capabilities of modern probabilistic software and the ability to apply these capabilities in application tasks.
Required prior and related subjects:
· Higher Mathematics: sections on Probability Theory, Mathematical Analysis, Differential Equations, and Discrete Mathematics.
· Fundamentals of signal theory.
· Analytical and numerical research methods
· Mathematical modeling and prediction of the experiment
Summary of the subject:
Methods and methods for describing random variables. Multidimensional random variables. Characteristic functions, point estimates of random variables, moments, semivariants and cumulants. Classification of random processes. Methods and methods for describing random processes. Wiener and Markov processes. Dynamic description of deterministic and random processes. Dynamic systems, stochastic equations. The concept, purpose and methods of formation of pseudorandom sequences.
