Learning outcomes:
As a result of study of discipline a student must
to know:
- regulatory support and organization of work on health and civil protection to the objects of management;
- safety measures of process equipment and equipment to prevent injuries during work;
- methods of predicting the negative consequences of natural and man-made emergencies;
be able to:
- ensure that the conditions established standards, conduct briefings on health and safety in the workplace for protection from harmful factors;
- take precautions and develop technical solutions for the prevention of hazards in the workplace;
- select and apply methods of forecasting and assessment of the situation in the area of emergencies, calculation parameters sources of damaging factors of emergencies;
- determine the composition of forces, means and resources to overcome the emergency.
to know:

Summary of the subject:
International norms and Ukrainian legislation in the field of occupational safety. Occupational safety management system, its components and functioning. The analysis of working conditions in chemical and bioengineering. Investigations of accidents. Preventing injuries and occupational diseases.
Sanitation requirements for the work in the field of chemical and bioengineering. General requirements for safety in the industry. Fire safety in chemical and bioengineering.
State policy in the field of civil protection of population and territories from emergency situations of technogenic and natural character.
Ensuring measures and actions within a unified system of civil protection. Prediction of the situation in the areas of chemical contamination. Protective measures planning in the areas of natural and technogenic emergencies.
